5 Helpful Tips to get an Accurate Description of a Criminal
When it comes to busting a crime, having an
accurate description of the perpetrator can really help!
However, should you ever be face to face
with a criminal, your first instinct is probably not to stay calm and observe
how they look. Here are 5 helpful tips if you are ever in this scary, traumatic
situation…
1. Never make direct eye contact with the perpetrator;
you don’t know what they are capable of!
2. Take down mental notes of what the
criminal is wearing and be as detailed as possible. His includes the colours,
logos and any other specific markings.
3. Note if there is anything unique about
how they are speaking – do they have an accent or a lisp, etc.?
4. Note whether the criminal has any
distinguishing facial features, tattoos, scars or piercings.
5. If there is a vehicle involved in the
crime, try to remember the licence number, the make of the car, the model and
the colour.
If you are able to provide police or the
local neighbourhood watch group with as much details as possible of the
perpetrator it will help in identifying the suspect and hopefully quickly
putting them behind bars.
PatrolMan is
an innovative new neighbourhood watch app that allows members to track every
incident, see crime hotspots and even use an emergency SOS button.
