The Best 5 Hiding Spots for your Valuables

If a burglar somehow happens to make it past your home security system, make sure your valuables are protected in a good hiding spot that a thief would never think to look.

Download the PatrolMan neighbourhood watch app and you can keep a close eye on the crime stats in your area. If you are ever in an emergency situation, press the SOS button and help will be summoned to your location immediately.

Try out these hiding spots…

     1.       Inside a roll-on tube. When you’re almost at the end of your roll-on or it starts to dry up, pop that little plastic bit out and you can stash your cash or jewels inside!

     2.       Inside a lip balm tube. This is the same as using a roll-on tube, but there is less space. It is an inconspicuous place to hide a few rolled up bills no one would ever think to look inside.

     3.       Beneath the carpet in the corner. Thieves may think to check under a rug or two, but most of them are not going to bother to tear up the carpet. Take advantage of this by hiding valuables under the carpet in the corner.

     4.       Inside the couch cushions. Do your pillows have zippers? If so, store flat valuables such as your credit cards or money under the covers.

     5.       Tape valuables behind the headboard. Thieves may look under the mattress, but they probably won’t look behind the headboard. Be sure to place items in an envelope and use tape to stick it behind the headboard.

With the average burglar aiming to be in and out of a home somewhere between 8 and 12 minutes, not many will take the time to inspect deodorant sticks or even go through the effort of lifting the carpeting in your home!
