> When you are parking in the street or in a public place, make sure to secure your bicycle to a pole or bike stand with a heavy duty bicycle chain and lock.

> When you are at home, always lock your car, bicycle or motorbike away in your garage.

> Install an alarm in your car and if possible, get one installed for your motorbike.

> Keep your vehicle keys inside your home, somewhere they cannot be seen from the doors or windows.

> If possible, always try to park in an area that is well-lit.

> Lock up all your car doors, this includes your boot!

> Remember to roll up all the windows too.

> When you park your car in a public area, do not leave any valuables on show such as your laptop, purse, handbag, etc.

> Keep all your vehicle ownership information inside your home and not in your car.

> If you HAVE to park your car outside for the night, take out your radio, GPS device, etc.

> Your boot is just as unsafe as the front seat, so make sure not to store any valuables inside your boot.
